Tensions Rise Around Jerusalem Shrine After Syria Rocket Strikes

JERUSALEM — Israeli warplanes and artillery struck targets in Syria following rare rocket fire from the northeastern neighbor, as Jewish-Muslim tensions reached a peak Sunday at a Jerusalem shrine featuring simultaneous religious rituals.
