‘Patriotic Millionaires’ Say ‘Tax Me More’ — Yet Real Patriots Would Cut Taxes
When our columnist asked if any of the purportedly patriotic millionaires would comply with tax rates as high as 90 percent voluntarily, there was an embarrassing silence. No one raised his or her hand.
On Tax Day this year, about a dozen left-wing millionaires joined with some of the most liberal Democrats in Congress for a Washington, D.C., press conference. The luminaries included Walt Disney’s granddaughter, Abigail Disney, and a former BlackRock whiz kid, Morris Pearl.
