As one might expect of the editorial director of Martha Stewart Weddings, Darcy Miller is a productive sentimental fool. Dozens of scrapbooks line her shelves.

Now she has translated her favorite pastime into a book – a scrapbook, of course. “Our Wedding Scrapbook” (HarperCollins) offers guidance for preserving memories. Ms. Miller both wrote and illustrated its ivory pages; her mother did the calligraphy.

Ms. Miller is celebrating the book at several parties, but perhaps the most sentimental was Monday night at the Four Seasons Restaurant, where, she noted during her toast, she was married. Ms. Miller’s beaming parents, Madge and Martin Miller, were the hosts, along with Vera Wang and the proprietors of the Four Seasons, Julian Niccolini and Alex von Bidder.

The party had some nuptial touches, such as a cake by Sylvia Weinstock and a chuppa designed by Anthony Todd, under which Ms. Miller signed copies of the books.

The guest list included her friends as well as those of her parents. “They’ve known me since I was a little girl -I’ve always made birthday cards for them, and they’ve always said I should do something, so it was nice to celebrate with them,” Ms. Miller said.

Although her job at Martha Stewart requires that she fuss over wedding details, perhaps the best preparation for her new book was making her own wedding scrapbook, which is big, square, bound in white leather, and chockfull of memories – “It weighs about 30 pounds,” she said. On its archival pages are pictures of the spot where she got engaged, e-mails offering congratulations and tips, the seating plan, the gift list, toasts – she saved it all.

Ms. Miller credits her mother with nurturing her interest, “Starting when I was 3, whenever we went away, she’d give me these little books and crayons,” she said. “Yes, it’s cutting and pasting and photo corners, but it’s really about documenting life,” she said.

Her husband, Andy Nussbaum, keeps a journal about being a father – a gift from Ms. Miller. “He writes to our daughter in it – he has miserable handwriting. For him it’s about putting it down in words, for me it’s something more visual.”

When the book parties are over, Ms. Miller will get back to work on her baby scrapbook for Daisy. “I think how fun it will be to share this with her when she’s grown up,” she said.

What do people talk about at a “Wedding Scrapbook” party? Upcoming nuptials. Guests Matthew Bronfman and Stacey Kaye are to be married Sunday on the island of Anguilla. The festivities start Friday with a Shabbat dinner. The couple met at the wedding of Wendy Clurman, whose husband grew up with Mr. Bronfman.

Weddings were a hot topic at the Ford Supermodel of the World kickoff party Monday night. Two days after eloping with his girlfriend of seven years, Martina Borgomanero, 27, whose family owns La Perla, 26-year-old Fabian Basabe arrived solo. He talked with friends including Marshall Devlieger and David Kalajian (the bride is visiting her parents).

Mr. Basabe said the couple had always planned to elope. When the ring arrived on Tuesday – a 5-carat emerald-cut diamond he selected from Tiffany – he decided the time was right. The next day he proposed, while the two sipped Champagne on the beach. Saturday they were married by a judge at the Fanjul family estate, Casa de Campo, in the Dominican Republic. The couple met at Pepperdine University.

At the party, held at Cain – a boite owned by Jamie Mulholland – the room was full of Ford models (including Mr. Mulholland’s wife, Jo-Jo Lowe, Lydia Hearst, and 44 Supermodel contestants), but Mr. Basabe’s eye didn’t wander.

“Fabian is the most loyal friend I have,” Mr. Devlieger said, “He was ready for this – he spoke to me this summer about having lots of irons in the fire, that he was in a good place to make this commitment.”
