‘Scilly Boys’ Aim To Break Trans-Atlantic Rowing Record

Four men who are calling themselves the “Scilly Boys” had traveled 87 miles as of yesterday in their quest to break a rowing record.
Chris Jenkins, Tim Garratt, Wayne Davey, and Joby Newton set off Sunday in a 29-foot rowboat on the Hudson River, near the Statue of Liberty, for a group of islands off the southwestern tip of England, the Isles of Scilly, across the Atlantic Ocean. The four are aiming to break a century-old record of 55 days and 13 hours for the 3,262-mile trip, which will take them past the Grand Banks.
