SUPERHERO CHIC The Brooklyn Superhero Supply Co., a tutoring center sponsord by McSweeney’s, unveils its “spring 2006 collection” at a benefit. Participating designers include Zac Posen, Marc Jacobs, and Behnaz Sarafpour. The models are not the usual suspects: Catwalkers include Amy Sedaris and “Daily Show” correspondents Ed Helms, Samantha Bee, and Rob Corddry.The event also includes superhero-themed readings and comedy. Highlights include “Edna Mode,” the cartoon fashion designer from “The Incredibles,” who will delivery her predictions for the upcoming season. Author and “Incredibles” voice artist Sarah Vowell relates her experiences of being invisible. Thursday, October 20, 8 p.m., Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway at 95th Street, 212-864-5400, $25 general, $75 for event, silent auction, and wine reception.
