BEACH SWEEP The American Littoral Society organizes the 20th Annual New York State Beach Cleanup as part of the International Coastal Cleanup. In 2004, volunteers cleared more than 215,000 pounds of debris across the state. Participants should bring work gloves, a sun hat, and sunscreen.
