Nanette Lepore sent out a spring collection of figure-flattering fluttery dresses, wide-leg trousers, and tailored skirts, among other unmistakably feminine pieces. The women of Pablo Picasso’s paintings provided the inspiration for the designer, whose palette this season included artistic prints in bold colors such as fuchsia, coral, and curry. A number of standout looks included a pale yellow mixed with a muted purple-gray hue. In one such ensemble, a warm gray blouse with lemon beading and embroidery was worn with belted, sand-color shorts; in another, a lustrous slate dress was cinched with a yellow-and-black snake-skin belt. Tangerine and beige worked well together in a plunging-neckline dress that mixed stripes and flowers, and trailed past the knee. That color combination was also featured in a wrap-style blouse, which was shown with a bow-adorned pencil skirt. Two shoe lines by Ms. Lepore — sling-backs and sandals for her eponymous footwear collection, and colorful, casual pairs she designs for Keds — complimented the whimsical looks of the runway presentation.
