Many drugstores have been increasing the quality — and the price points — of their beauty offerings of late, and the CVS/pharmacy store on 42nd Street and Third Avenue takes the “mass-tiege” concept to a new level. The flagship pharmacy is taking on department stores — boasting a beauty section that sells more than 200 different cosmetics and skin care brands. CVS also has an exclusive new line, called 24.7 Skincare. The collection was created in partnership with an initial investor in the Freeze 24-7 skin care brand, and is composed of five products — Targeted Wrinkle Treatment, Firming Anti-Aging Eye Serum (this reporter’s favorite), Smoothing Anti-Aging Moisturizer, Daily Purifying Facial Scrub, and Instant Plump Volumizing Lip Shine — ranging in price from $15.99 to $39.99. All are now available at CVS/pharmacy locations nationwide.
