A teenager slit his girlfriend’s wrists, then slit his own and jumped from a five-story building in the Bronx, police said.
Both are expected to survive.
The boy, 18, confronted the girl, 17, at her mother’s apartment on Devoe Terrace in University Heights yesterday at around 2:40 p.m., police said. He punched her and then dragged her to the roof, where he slit her wrists. He then slit his own wrists and jumped, but a tree caught his fall, police said. The pair were taken to St. Barnabas hospital, police said.
