TRENTON, N.J. – Governor Mc-Greevey will say his public farewell today in a speech that’s expected to highlight accomplishments of a term cut short by scandal.
Details of the address at the State Museum auditorium have not been revealed. But aides to the Democrat say Mr. McGreevey can claim a number of victories: championing stem cell research, obtaining benefits for domestic partners and instituting reforms at the state’s troubled child welfare agency, to name a few.
Political observers credit Mr. Mc-Greevey with some gains, but they also note some lingering troubles that have nothing to do with his personal life.
