Law Firm Sues Kerik for $200,000

The former New York City police commissioner, Bernard Kerik, who is being investigated by federal authorities, is being sued by his former lawyers for more than $200,000.
Mr. Kerik was police commissioner when presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani was mayor.
The law firm of Fulbright & Jaworski LLP says in papers filed in Manhattan’s state Supreme Court that Mr. Kerik has failed to pay bills of $202,384 for legal services by a former lawyer at the firm.
The lawyer, Kenneth Breen, moved to another firm but still represents Mr. Kerik.
Mr. Kerik’s lawyer in this civil case, Chad Seigel, said the lawsuit is “the result of an obvious miscommunication that we are in the process of resolving.” He would not comment further.
