A two-alarm fire that burned through a Bronx home early yesterday morning killed a young woman and injured two others, police officials said.
The fire department responded to the blaze at a home at 643 E. 224 St. in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx at about 12:16 a.m. The body of Eileen Harkens, 22, was found on the second floor, police said.
More than one hundred firefighters, three of whom were injured, responded to the fire that left two others in the home with minor injuries.
Investigators have yet to determine what sparked the blaze, fire officials said.
