In a television interview, President Bush said it is “up in the air” whether the nation can ever be fully safe from another terror attack and suggested terrorists may still be contemplating ways to disrupt the election.
Senator Kerry, in a statistical tie with the president in Florida polls, attended church services in the key swing state yesterday and spoke of being guided by his Roman Catholic faith despite disagreeing with some of its tenets.
WHERE THEY ARE TODAY
Mr. Kerry is scheduled to campaign today in Dover, N.H.; Philadelphia; Warren, Mich.; and Green Bay, Wis., with an overnight stay in Green Bay.
President Bush is planning to spend today in Greeley, Colo., and Council Bluffs and Davenport in Iowa. He will spend the night in La Crosse, Wis.
