CARIBBEAN GALA Guide Horace Morancie of the Brooklyn Center for the Urban Environment leads a walking tour titled “Behind the Scenes of the West Indian Labor Day Carnival,” which explores the preparations for the Caribbean carnival. Highlights include visits to costume makers, pan makers and players, and Caribbean restaurants. Saturday, 3-6 p.m., meet at the corner of Utica Avenue and Avenue D, Brooklyn, 718-788-8500 ext. 208, $11 general, $9 members, $8 students and seniors.
