UNDER THE APPLE TREE New York University presents “The Apple Tree,” three unrelated acts performed by a cast and orchestra of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students from the department of music and performing arts professions. CUBICLE LIFE Jill is the new intern and Brent is the straitlaced boss in “Conference Room A,” a comedy about young professionals and their after-hours activities. Mike Klar directs. Through Saturday, Thursday-Saturday, 8 p.m., the Red Room, 85 E. 4th St. at Second Avenue, 212-868-4444, $15.
