PHOTOGRAPHERS GALORE The Aperture Foundation presents its annual benefit gala, featuring an auction of classic and contemporary photography. Artists Melva Bucksbaum, Raymond Learsy, and Vik Muniz, and gallery owner Yancey Richardson are honored. Chairmen of the dinner include Todd Oldham and Brent Sikkema. BENEFICIAL LAUGHS “Comedy Cares for the Homeless,” a benefit performance in conjunction with the New York Comedy Festival, features comedians Louis CK, Caroline Rhea, Patrice O’Neal, and others. The gala benefits the nonprofit organization Care for the Homeless, whose volunteers provide medical, dental, and mental care for the city’s homeless population.
