NOISY OUTLAWS AND MORE Daniel Handler, the author of the “Lemony Snicket” series of young adult novels, makes an appearance by satellite at a celebration of the new anthology of children’s literature “Noisy Outlaws, Unfriendly Blobs, and Some Other Things…” (McSweeney’s). Five other bookstores around the country are hosting simultaneous parties for the book.The author of the novella “The Brief and Frightening Reign of Phil” (Riverhead), George Saunders, attends the New York celebration to read his contribution, “Lars Farf, Excessively Fearful Father and Husband.” Saturday, 4 p.m., 826NYC, 372 Fifth Ave., between 5th and 6th avenues, Park Slope, Brooklyn, 718-499-9884, free.
