SHOE SENSE Children can listen to the story “How To Make a Magic Shoe and Travel the World” and then illustrate some of the scenes at an afternoon even in Brooklyn. They can also check out shoes from all over the world and then work with their families to make their own magic shoe. The event is intended for children ages 6 and older. Thursday, 3-4 p.m., Brooklyn Children’s Museum, 145 Brooklyn Ave. at St. Mark’s Avenue, 718-735-4400, $4 general, members free.
