SUBWAY SQUARES Children can design their own subway mosaics with foam, wood, and metallic paper.The activity is intended for children ages 5 and older. Today through Sunday, today-Friday, 11 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m., Children’s Museum of Manhattan, 212 W. 83rd St., between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue, 212-721-1223, free with museum admission, $8 general, $5 seniors.
SMALL SCALE The Children’s Galleries for Jewish Culture presents two exhibitions, “From Home to Home: Jewish Immigration to America” and “From Tent to Temple: Life in the Ancient Near East.” At one interactive station, children create a miniature New York neighborhood and peek into small dioramas that display scenes of an immigrant’s life. Through Wednesday, August 31, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday, 2-5 p.m., Children’s Galleries for Jewish Culture, 515 W. 20th St. at Tenth Avenue, no. 4E, 212-924-4500, $5 general, free for members.
