MIGRATORY MOVEMENTS Choreographer Jennifer Monson followed the migration paths of ospreys, whales, ducks, and geese for inspiration for her latest dance piece. The result of the five-year project is “Bird Brain,” which serves as the finale to the program “Flight of Mind.” The performances kick off Dance Theater Workshop’s fall season. Tonight through Saturday, 6:30 p.m., Dance Theater Workshop, 219 W. 19th St., between Seventh and Eighth avenues, 212-924-0077, $25 general, $15 for seniors, students, and members.
CREATIVE PROCESS The second part of the Creative Atelier series is “Ignored in My Heaven,” a suite of dances inspired by dreams and performed by the Glen Rumsey Dance Project. Thursday-Sunday, 8 p.m., Location One, 26 Greene St., between Grand and Canal streets, 212-334-3347, 8 p.m., $12.
