Hydrangeas and cherry blossoms arrive in the spring, but for designer Erin Fetherston, fall is high time for flower power. In her new collection, presented Friday evening under the tents at Bryant Park, regal femininity reigns: The designs were cut from romantic fabrics, such as jewel-toned velvet, floral chiffon, and black satin — and adorned with bows, sequins, ribbons, and lace. Billowy dresses with tiered and asymmetrical hemlines were prevalent, as were A-line mini-dresses that gave a nod to the prom fashions of the 1980s.
