Low Salaries Harm Police Recruitment

Nassau PD pays $ 23,000 a year to start and has no problem with recruitment or retention because their top pay if $95,000 a year. The mayor knows its the top pay that matters but his disdain and contempt for the one city agency that has consistantly delivered productivity in cash and blood is the real reason he won't raise the pay of the NYPD.
