The Second Holocaust
in response to reader comment: Almost Right

Bobby Lane's comment illustrates the perils of believing versus thinking and knowing within one's ability to do so. A powderkeg like the Middle East and the actions of the United States with respect to Israel and the surrounding Muslim nations are far too critical to world peace to be viewed through the prism of apocalyptic literature such as Revelations. I am put in mind of Robert Stone's novel A FLAG FOR SUNRISE, in which one character says or thinks, "St. John the Divine, raving in the wilderness, stuffing the luggage of future madmen." Let's take a deep breath and deal with these issues rationally.
