REAL ID will not stop one single act of terrorism. A terrorist can come into the USA on a clean passport, issued by complicit fanatics within his own country. Using this passport and visa, a terrorist could secure a drivers licence in any state, compliant with the rules of REAL ID.

Such a pathetic faith in the bureacracy of muslim-dominated nations!

Not every terrorist (by far!) has a criminal record. Even then, it is VERY easy to swap IDs in his own country, helped by religious fanatics that are baked-into the government.

So - what's the true purpose of REAL ID? Simple - TO FACILITATE TAX COLLECTION WITHIN THE BORDERS OF THE USA. To make it MORE likely that when IRS agents go to an address to harass an American, that he will actually BE at that address (they're tired of visiting rented post boxes, long abandoned by the taxpayer.) The IRS 100% supports REAL ID. Civil Libertarians 100% OPPOSE it!
