If this guy thinks his situation in New York is bad, he should try living in San Francisco for a year. Having lived in New York City recently and for several years, I can attest that despite its size and population, New York doesn't come close to San Francisco when it comes to having a major league homeless problem. Tolerance is, of course, preferable and indicative of an evolved culture .. but try hanging on to that opinion after a stroll down Market Street in California's fair city by the bay.
