Great piece, and yet another painful reminder of how mismanaged the Knicks have been in recent years.

But here's a question: I wonder which major metropolitan area has produced the most NBA players, both in terms of total numbers and per capita? That would be the true test of which city deserved the "Basketball City, USA" distinction.

You would have to exclude the Oak Hill Academies of the world and look at where each NBA player played the majority of his high school ball. I wonder if there are any studies/statistics on this stuff?
