I dont know how you could say LA has more basketball tradition than NY, well I do know, I just read why you think that, but you are far off. You cant find tradition in the stat books, you cant judge it on wins and losses, and probably the most important point is you can not base it on pro and college basketball teams or players. The public didnt pick these teams or players, some incompetent like isiah thomas up in an office picked them. LA doesnt have tradition like we do on the east coast. They have nightclubs and shopping as their past time. In NY we play basketball on the streets and watch it in our living rooms, and still sell out madison square from time to time to see our terrible knicks. Its in the millions of NY fans where the tradition lies not in the 20 overpaid non-new yorkers who run franchises. Ask people in LA, I bet even half of them would bow down to our tradition and admit that much. You had a lot of stats to back up your position, and I have none, but we are talking about tradition, so Im confident thats why I am correct with this assesment.
