Babel of the Upper East Side

Irony abounds. "The proposed tower is too tall" yet it is nearly the same height as the Carlyle. This, in the city that invented skyscrapers. "It is steel and glass," yet the Lever House is a landmark building, specifically because it is steel and glass. Even more ironic is that Aby Rosen owns both this and the Lever House. There is no reason to be against this building but to be against change. It saddens me to hear such shallow opposition to progress.
