Bailout Plan Draws Bipartisan Ire at Capitol

How can we expect Congress to put together anything credible when the one of the largest Housing Bills in decades signed on July 30, 2008 was built upon funding to be received from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac - two institutions that themselves had to be bailed out less than 2 months later!!! How could Congress not know of their financial condition before it used them as a funding source for this bill??? They just did not care! and Paulson was part of this bill! More smoke and mirrors to dupe the average taxpayer to the greed and deception that goes on in Washington D.C.! Interesting thing- no collection agencies are going out of business. In fact, their business is booming because people are loosing their jobs and no financial institution wants to "work with them." Our own government sics collection agencies on people who are out of work because major corporations have shed their workforce and taken jobs overseas. Like Maggie, our family has also struggled and is still struggling to support children and grandchildren who are out of work due to circumstances beyond their control, while the rich on Wall Street just keep getting richer. The socio-economic injustices that "we the people" have suffered were not created in a day and cannot be solved in day. But we can and should let our representatives know that "we the people" are no longer willing to be dormats as unfair and irresponsible legislation is passed on our behalf in the name of our "salvation" for the good of only one specific sector in our economy.
