I couldn't agree more. We live in a society where nobody wants to take responsibility. Students don't do well in school? Must be the school system's fault. You trip over your own child in the super market? Sue the super market. And so on. It is time we re-introduce the concept of personal - and in this case corporate - responsibility to the American people. We wouldn't be in this mess if people took responsibility for themselves and their actions: Fannie and Freddie would not have been able to make so many bad loans, if people had the personal responsibility to think their actions through. But of course, nobody does. That's too painful, requires too much work, is too inconvenient. And the rest of us get to pay....
