America Nationalizes AIG Group

In a press conference last night, Governor Paterson lauded the AIG deal, noting that state revenues will be affected by the "paradigm shift" occurring in financial markets.... Uh,oh! "Paradigm shift". Huh? Does anybody really trust what our Governor, or any of our state legislators for that matter, says on anything, especially financial matters? NY appears to have no visible financial expertise. David Paterson may be more likable than Spitzer but his comments make me wonder about how mired in AIG our state is and how bad it would be for NY if they went down. And P.S. he ought to be apologizing to NYers and taxpayers in general, that this sad situation has come about.
