Pity the impossible task faced by the poor conservative who is also a Zionist. You not only have to try and keep a straight face defending a failed president, you also have to pretend that failure is also a "friend of Israel." And all the while hoping your readers have forgotten Bush's Road Map, disengagement, PA elections that gave rise to Hamastan, Annapolis, and a Judenrein Sderot. Heck, it's the political equivalent of being drawn and quartered.
