The Raid at Howard Industries

Submitted by Joe, Sep 6, 2008 20:23

The jobs the illegal aliens occupied were created for Americans and other people authorized to work in the United States. The jobs were created for the victims of Hurricane Katrina and Howard Industries instead encouraged illegal aliens to enter and remain in the United States contrary to criminal and civil laws. These "hard working employees" are taking jobs from Americans when the unemployment rate is at its highest in 5 years (6.1%). The employees of Howard Industries and residents of Laurel, MS were cheering when the agents took the illegal aliens from the electronics plant. There were legal residents the next day that were lined up for the jobs that were now open. The Hattiesburg paper reported of people that lost their jobs to illegal aliens that cost the company less. This is because they can exploit illegal aliens by not paying health care, social security, retirement benefits and they accept lower wages. The people you have to blame for the families being torn apart are the parents of these children. These people know they are here illegally and know the consequences of being caught by authorities. These parents choose to bring a child into the world knowing that one day they could be deported. The people that you should blame for the immigration problem are the politicians that created the laws. Congress created the laws and they are the ones that can fix them. Some of the same politicians that complain about ICE enforcing the laws that are on the books are the same people that help created the same laws they are complaining ICE is enforcing.
