You are all so eager to forget that up to 2 1/2 years ago we were rolling in prosperity. Economics is a cyclic beast. The economy goes up, the economy goes down. It's simple. The president nor anyone else can predict what will influence the economy. The best thing politicians can do is get out of the damn way. Let people keep their hard earned money so they can withstand the downturns - if they don't shoot themselves in the foot first (loans they could never afford). The Republican platform is to allow the middle class to keep as much as our money as we can. The democrats want to tax me until I cry UNCLE. If the dems do win this election they will destroy the middle class and in doing, destroy themselves.
