Mongolian Opposition Leader Finds Limits to Protest

Submitted by Roy Dongen, Aug 30, 2008 01:43

According to Mongolian constitution there is freedom of press. However during the State of Emergency there was only the State television that was allowed to broadcast. This has nothing to do with Russia or Russian controlled media. Secondly but not less important, it is great that Mr. Elbegdorj whom I personally hosted at some events in The Netherlands concluded that despite the differences in opinion with the MPRP the country needs to be governed so the problems can be addressed and Mongolia's prosperous future will no longer be endangered. I hope, and many Mongolians as well as foreigners with me, that both parties will work constructive together to solve the countries problems and will solely focus on the interest of the people and the nation.
