I am a student and friend of the great Barry Harris. The melody and words he sings over the chord changes of "Embraceable You" are his very own, composed in trans-Atlantic flight a few years ago, and any similarity to an existing Charlie Parker solo is only natural, considering the continuing focus of his life.
