If the Bush Administration is supposed to be "Israel's friend" I'd hate to see what a hostile administration looks like. I won't tell you what I thought when I read that Ms. Rice thought releasing hundreds of terrorists was a good idea because "it's something that's important to the Palestinian people" because this is, after all, a family newspaper. I will say that I am deeply disappointed in the failure of imagination not only from the current moribund administration, but from both Presidential candidates. I have an original idea - never before proposed - that would break the impass, but frankly, I am just too tired to put it out there now. This ongoing fight over a geopolitical impossibility (i.e.a Palestinian homeland - which has about as much chance of success as East and West Pakistan had) makes me sick, sad, depressed and disgusted. We need change, real change with real ideas. Enough already.
