Something must be done to strike a proper balance between the high insurance rates for the medical establishment while still giving proper and fair channels for patients to address malpractice issues. Too many doctors today are choosing to perform medical procedures on their patients out of fear of their insurance rates rather than on sound medicine and research. The evidence of this stands with the c-section rate hovering near 50% in NY State. The financial cost to the doctors is creating a severe physical cost to women.
