As a 4th grade teacher in Texas, I feel so fortunate to have discovered the wisdom of John McWhorter. This present article about William Buckley is immensely interesting and appropos to teaching in America today and what education needs, but I also find many of McWhorters articles on hip-hop, education, and polictics very helpful to my present teaching situation due to the diversity of my school district, my particular campus, and the fact that I teach social studies.
