This is potentially wonderful news, likely to affect the lives on millions of people worldwide if successful. Speaking from experience (I have a daughter who has had this awful illness all her life), this disease is extremely painful and affects not only joints, but other organs such as the eyes. Current treatments are dangerous and not particularly effective. No matter what the cost, this new treatmant must be made available to all who need it through the NHS. I am delighted that a British team is developing this treatment and I wish them every success.
