Bolstering NFL Network Top Priority for Owners

The NFL charges Fox and ESPN/ABC billions of dollars annually for the rights to carry NFL games. Fox and ESPN then jam rate increases down their cable MSO distributors throats to pay the tab. So now people think the cable guys should give up an analog channel slot and pay the NFL another .70 per sub per month for a channel no one cares about except for maybe 1 day a year. What did I miss? What is this attitude of entitlement by the NFL? We are a free market society! Politicians have no place forcing the cable guys hand here. If the product was strong people would demand it be on expanded basic (not basic expanded level). Cable guys have got this one right.
