When we first found out how much money we would be given through the stimulus bill we thought it would be most efficient to use it to pay off the last of our four vehicles that still had a lien on it. However, after looking at the intend of the bill we decided to use the money toward a new roof on our house. Granted, we would have gotten a new roof over the next three years anyway, but to support the economy with money that was given to us for free, we thought it would be the right thing to do. The bad part to it is that we are an additional $3,000 in debt by going this route.
