Don't Blame the Markets

Submitted by justsayno, Apr 29, 2008 20:35

In 1972 I had to put down 10% on a 53,000 loan to build a home AND I already owned free and clear the 6 acres worth 10,000 that it was going to be built one. Because I was only in my 20's, the bank thought that I was a serious risk. Now, folks with no savings, no long-term job stability and sometimes no advanced education are getting loans for 250,000 homes with no money down. When politics, especially those with a socialist agenda, mix with the marketplace, you get a meltdown. I can't wait for government health care. God help us all.
