Defense Secretary Is Wary of Adding More Iraq Troops

Submitted by steve burns, Dec 28, 2006 14:33

I am amazed how this campaign has been waged. To put it bluntly...whoever is orchestrating this campaign is inept, whether it be Washington or the General Staff. The most technically advanced army in the world cannot train an already trained army in three years; they cannot pacify a region; nor can they overcome a group of robe wearing fanatics. Something doesnt add up. I am embarrased to be an American. Maybe we should all join the insurgents and get their training.

The answer is not troops...the answer is their utilization. The formula is simple:

Disarm the militias before they get even stronger; make it an automatic arrest to carry a weapon. No weapons=no shooting. Then we would know who the bad guys are without thinking.

Seal of the Iran border to prevent further insurgents and weapons shipments from entering the country.

Hold the areas we have taken...utilizing Iraqi forces

Thats the answer; stop the flow of weapons and manpower; disarm the militias; outlay weapons.

More troops patrolling the streets aint going to do it. Lets not let America continue to be a mockery of the world... lets win the war.
