If I were an Israeli leader, I would ignore any statements made by Hamas officials. This organization's goals are well known, and publicized constantly, the destruction of Israel and it's Jews, AND worldwide Jewry. The criminal government, like the former NAZIs in Germany, is made up of a bunch of cutthroats and thugs. It's just that simple. It is leading the Palestinian people, to the same fate that befell the German "Volk".

No self-repecting sovereign country, and a member of the UN, would allow rockets of any nature to fall on it's soil, whether Kassams, Katyushas or going by any other name, with impunity.

Israel, by it's self-restraint, has only made the situation worse for itself, and has embolden the "Bad cops", in this farce of good cop (Fatah), bad cop (Hamas) Every Jew that gets killed or wounded by a Kassam, is a massacre (as the Palestinians like to say for themselves). And certainly, given Hamas outspoken Jew hatred, Iran's move to nuclear weapons (with which to strike Israel) and Hezbollahs' boasting of having 22,000 rockets (aimed at Israel) and patching up it's residential areas destroyed by Israel in the last war (Hezbollah used civilians to protect their terrorist fighters), Israel's timidity in reacting to Kassams is deplorable and dangerous.
