Immigration Chief Quits Amid Citizenship Surge

Submitted by VictimofCaliforniaService_USCIS, Mar 21, 2008 05:14

I have been a victim of this stupid experiment. There is no respite and no ownership to the problem. luckily my birth country has given me the dual citizenship and oppurtunity to be with my spouse. its shameful the way the situation has been played out where legal tax paying citizens are dealt with unwarranted delays and no recourse but at mercy of stupidity of USCIS. i think they should fire incompetance and make the jobs more accountable. to start with make english mandatory at the service centers and college degrees mandatory for service folks than clueless invididuals. streamlining and investing in technology requires some aptitude for information technology and the due process. the USCIS website read a banner "protecting america" . it should be rather empowering america, all its supposed to do is immigration and naturalization not policing around unwanted checks it needs to review and approve/deny cases as mandated by govt. i think trying to be under DHS it lost its own identity.

I doubt things will ever improve now that the country is in recession, everything to the foreign animals at the zoo would be blamed for the downturn.

maybe its time to get the house in order and restore citizens first and respect the constitution. There needs to be accountability and do respect P.D.Rios opinion
