On The HUSTINGS

My full support goes to Hillary Clinton. Barack Obama is inspiring but like other people have said before me, what I hear from him I can hear from church. We need a leader with a real political and financial plan for this country. Idealistic speeches are all very well for the moment, but not for four years as president. Mr. Obama has not been specific or comprehensive about tackling the state of education and welfare (especially for children). With him there is always a lot of discussion about the problems but almost none of a real, concrete solution. I am sorry, no matter how poetic he might be in rhetoric we need plain and boring solutions which involves a plan including financial and legislative steps. We simply can't afford a president that takes all sides but makes no decisions. Look at this most recent event with Rev. Wright. I do not consider the Reverend's speeches to be a reflection on Mr. Obama but I consider his responses to be so. He should remember first that blacks were/are not the only victims of racism. Look at Latinos and Asians. I belong to the latter category. We were victimized by Americans not just in the USA but in our native countries. Maybe we weren't labeled slaves but my people were made into sacrificable workers or prostitutes and were often treated like animals. Despite this we do not preach that killing thousands of American civilians (of all races) in 9/11 was justifiable. Obama's response has been to condemn the speech but not the man. If that's how he goes then perhaps we should commend his own lyrical words but not believe that they afford any reflection of him. And without his words, he does not have much left.

I support Hillary Clinton for her experience, her intelligence and her plans for the nation. I support her for her good political record. I also support her for because she changed positions about Iraq and admitted to it (Mr. Obama, politicians who change sides, especially if they are one of the first to do so, should be heard). I support her because she now has the most comprehensive plan to end that war responsibly. I support her because she is the most qualified candidate we have now.
