Well, for an immigrant person from Europ like me married to a black wife from Africa and having now US mixed born son and daughter, this debate is very deceiptive in the sense that US was for me and my wife a place where we could give our best gift to the world: our two mixed kids, with hope that this multicultural society was well fitted for mixed kids to achieve their destiny. At this point my kids are just like Obama, and I can imagine what they will face in the future if the race issue is not overcome. I think America needs to be what the Founders wanted it to be: United States of America where races and cultures molten in a magnificient pearl.
