Mercy For Spitzer

Submitted by Kim, Mar 16, 2008 20:14

This example and the many others that have come before and will sadly come after it shows us two things: first, we cannot live our personal lives as we wish as long as we are competent in our jobs and second, that the Word of God is the mirror in which we must check ourselves everyday. Mr. Spitzer's sins are not unpardonable. I hope that all who have been hurt by his actions do forgive him. It would be wonderful to see him grow from this experience and come back, in some way, but as a changed man. But, in order for that to happen, he must be genuinely sorry for the pain he has caused his wife, family, friends, staff, etc. I hope he realizes that he did not help the young women who have deluded themselves into believing that prostitution is an honorable profession - no matter what term they use for it - it is still and always has been a sin. Yes, he should apologize to them, as well. We should keep him and his family in our prayers. We should keep the prostitutes in our prayers. They are all souls in danger of eternal separation from God.
