Overhaul of Estate Tax Is Sought by Senators

Submitted by Tony Stubblefield, Mar 14, 2008 12:51

The death tax is ridiculous. The government has already taxed the individual and what is left at the time of their death is what they have saved over a lifetime. We want people to work hard, save & invest money for their future retirement and children's education and be giving, caring citizens by supporting chartities, yet we want to tax them to death and then tax them once more after their death. What an insult. And we wonder why people aren't saving more and have more ambition. It is high time we get rid of stupid, corrupt, politicians and start electing some with a little common sense. The government has shown that they are poor money managers and inept at coming up with good policies so why give them more money to throw away?
